Campus pictures
Pictures from The Michigan State weekend:
I thought this was just about cute overload.
My aunt and uncle came out for the game where their presence apparently helped us score offensive touchdowns!
Of course I couldn't go without posting a picture of dear old Bond...
That was sarcasm.
The library as reflected in the pool.
The dome as the morning sun hits it. (this might qualify as some arkie nerdiness)
And the campus from the library.

Sorry I haven't been better about posting; it's the same old excuse of too much going on! These are some of the projects that have been keeping me busy- these are photoshop projects for my computers class. The first sheet is the matrix, which is just organizing different photos; the second is called an 'analytique'- an informative composition of those photos.
Doing the analytique took several hours, but most of that was trying to decide how to set it up. I hate trying to be all fancy and fussy with all the different images! I'm tired of looking at this now, but I think when I come back to it with fresh eyes I'll appreciate it more.
So what else has been keeping me busy?
I'm working on organizing a Walsh senior brunch, playing Walsh football (although I've had to skip practices because of my knee so far), taking care of aforementioned, newly stitchless knee, being a Eucharistic minister (an Eucharistic minister?? oh well!) and a Lector, and homework. Phew!
Enjoy the photos; hopefully I'll be able to post more of my work this year!

A dose of Catholic humor
I saw this the other day and had to post it...
A young monk arrives at the monastery. He is assigned to helping the other monks in copying the old canons and laws of the church by hand. He notices, however, that all of the monks are copying from copies, not from the original manuscript. So, the new monk goes to the head abbot to question this, pointing out that if someone made even a small error in the first copy, it would never be picked up! In fact, that error would be continued in all of the subsequent copies. The head monk, says, "We have been copying from the copies for centuries, but you make a good point, my son." The abbot goes down into the dark caves underneath the monastery where the original manuscripts are archived in a locked vault that hasn't been opened for hundreds of years. Hours go by and nobody sees the him. So, the young monk gets worried and goes down to look for him. He finds the abbot banging his head against the wall and wailing,"We missed the "R!" , we missed the "R!" His forehead is bloody and bruised and he is crying uncontrollably. The young monk asks the old abbot, "What's wrong, Father?" With a choking voice, the old abbot replies, "The word was...

Just a quick note- good seats this year! I'm in Section 28, row 22, and here is the map of the stadium.

Photos!
Well, as hoped for- photos of my room. This is from the doorway looking in. I know the curtains are nice, but I honestly can't take credit for them. They were here when I moved in!
This picture is from a bit further away, so you can see some of the big black futon in the foreground.
And this is from the other side of the room, in front of the window. There's actually a little recess next to where I'm standing that has the sink and mirror cabinet too, which are too far back to be seen in any of the pictures. And stop right here if you're squeamish, because the next picture is a (bad) photo of my knee with stitches in it on day 2. Not so bad, really... ( I can say this because it is now almost day 3, ha!)
