I love my Grandma!
While I was still asleep this morning, she came by and dropped off iced raisin bread and chocolate caramel squares. Mmmm. In other news, I officially hate shopping for pants after going through Kohls and JC Pennys and not finding what I wanted. How difficult can this be? I'm almost ready to buy some material and make myself some darn pants.
Change is a-comin'
Almost done with summer. I'm happy about no more working at camp, 8 weeks with some of those kids is quite enough; on the other hand, that means that I am now supposed to think about school, order stuff for school, pack stuff for school, buy stuff for school... you get the picture. And it's all about school.Speaking of which, Christie just left to go to her school- Franciscan University of Steubenville (that's in Ohio, for anyone who didn't know, and it's very small and really religious). It doesn't really seem that different here without her, cuz she was mostly in her room anyways. The main difference for me is that I think of her doing more interesting things there then she would in her room here, LOL. Gimme a shout if you actually see this Christie b/c I am definitely not used to never seeing you online! Now, back to me and my lack- of- packing. My friends who are also going abroad with me have set up an email listserv, the past two weeks of which have consisted of people sending out packing lists, writing about laying out their clothes and how many rooms that takes up (I am not kidding), comparing the cubic inches in their new frame packs (I have not bought one, I'm waaay too cheap), writing about packing a week and a half in advance, debating if they should bring an iron, etc. Meanwhile I have not yet started to do my laundry- but it cannot honestly take over a week to pack! Come on people! Aaaahhh.I really need to get over there- most of my friends are overachievers to the nth degree, but I'm rooming with some real slackers. I'm sure they'll make me feel much better.
